Cargill Cares Scholarship Program: Helping Thai youth reach full potential 

Cargill Cares Scholarship Program Helping Thai youth reach full Believing that education is a gateway to bright future for the youths of the nation, since 1992, we have continued our initiative to offer scholarships through our Cargill Cares Scholarship program on yearly basis to communities in Thailand, there have been more than 2,000 students given scholarship until now.

Cargill Cares Scholarship program has offered scholarships to children and youths in the elementary, high school, vocational and tertiary levels of education, and these youths are required to live in the area where the company operates. The criteria for eligible students are those who need financial support. However, these students, including those from agricultural families, should have good academic performance or demonstrate the characteristics of resiliency and perseverance to achieve their academic goals.

Cargill Cares Scholarship Program Helping Thai youth reach full

In 2023, this program recently granted scholarships to 420 students in the communities worth $23,500 USD (US Dollar) in elementary and secondary schools from 33 local schools in Korat, Saraburi, Phetchabun and Lopburi.

Cargill Cares Scholarship Program Helping Thai youth reach full Cargill also grants scholarships for employee’s children who maintain good examination scores and need financial support. In 2022, this program granted over 500 scholarships worth 70,000 USD to children in local communities and children of Cargill’s employees.

As such, we intend to create value together with communities and society in many ways such as life improvement, education promotion, nutrition promotion, health and hygiene promotion, and environmental conservation in areas where the company conducts business.
